The Business of Busyness

proposal (9).png

What is something that you do every day intentionally? This is a thought I have had a lot lately. It is so easy to just wake up and aimlessly scroll, mindlessly read, and jump right back into the routines that coddle our comfort. ⁣

It is these routines that we think about when we proclaim how busy we are to others. When did busy become something we strive for? When did we make the hamster wheel the model of a fulfilled life?⁣

I do not believe we should settle for doing anything when we could be doing something. Something that creates meaning. Something that impacts others. Something that drives us. But we are so afraid of doing nothing that we have settled for anything. ⁣

If we are able to replace a little bit of busyness with intentional action inspired by our wants and goals; then I think we have a shot at making something of our time here.
